Hi, I’m Alon — founder and CEO of DigitalZen. Thanks for stopping by.
Keeping my privacy would be ideal, but since users like you and search engines want to know who’s behind this app – here I am. With experience founding several startups and serving as CTO in others, I bring a seasoned entrepreneurial perspective.
DigitalZen was born from necessity and innovation.
Like many, I struggled with staying productive and focused. Constant distractions — news, notifications, endless social media — always pulled me away.
I tried every productivity tool out there. But they were either:
Too soft: Easy to bypass. One click, and all distractions were back. I eventually gave up.
Too rigid: Blocking everything with no flexibility felt inhuman. I needed room to breathe, to allow some digital indulgence now and then.
Too complex: I’m tech-savvy, but I wanted simple, not a headache with proxies and command lines.
OS-locked: I work across Linux, Windows, and macOS. No tool fit all my devices.
On a sunny vacation in Koh Lanta, Thailand, fresh off my last fintech project, I decided to build the solution I’d been searching for.
Two years later, DigitalZen is here — a simple, flexible, cross-platform productivity tool that adapts to your life, not the other way around.
I’m deeply thankful to the amazing, dedicated team who asked to stay behind the scenes and make this possible every day, and to my supportive wife, whose love and inspiration fuel everything I do.
